China - is killing us

Scrap is up right now, WAY up. trucks are fetching $500 sight unseen.

This last ATN I sold off my remaining stock and was outta the bizness - or so I thought.

that rainy day from heck - saturday, my friend showed up with a load of stuff and pow - sales pick up before the storm.

So we decide to form another LLC, liquidating cars, trucks, parts, tools, garage items to stay in the biz and sell at more than Carlisle.

Problem is, unless someone wants the powertrain, a truck only has $500 of parts on it if it is from PA due to the rust. If you cant get them but for 500, no profit margin to make you want to unbolt stuff.

if you have anything older than say 97 ford, 98 chevy, ditto dodge, get your parts now. my fav boneyard just sent 20 southern truck bodies into the smoosher. destination: ping chow ding china

Its a shame what theyre crushing. Heck a local boneyard had the best 1976 highboy frame I have ever scene up here and a great body except for the fender where a car lightly hit it. So someone bought the bed, driver door, and hood off the truck and the rest of it was scrapped, What a shame, especially for the people around PA here which need new 70`s ford frames.

.12/lb it is just a shame what folks are getting rid of. I saw 4 full boxes of thick Monster cable, 100's of feet scrapped for what $30.00. It has help clean up some yards although you can thank our Gov. for treason and selling our beautiful country away.

Yeah.. I'd like to get a different bed for my 75, but have no idea as to where to even look anymore. no one around my area even has the older stuff any more
