05, 5.4L with an aftermarket warmer-air-than-stock-under-the-hood-bling-intake?

Better get custom tunes before you say bye-bye to one of your burnt pistons or valves.

Oh, and don't forget to install the truck nuts when you take the mufflers out.

After all, you don't want to be 1/2 redneck.

its SUPER EASY to just take muffler out and put pipe in, so you could just leave it coming out the rear of the truck.

I don't know where you plan on driving your truck or where you live, but all I've seen is constant tickets for trucks that are stupid loud. Trust me, I love the way my truck sounds with my Gibson Headers and Super40 Flow....but even when I'm back home in TX where there are no laws on emissions, they are definitely cracking down on noise violations... I'm stationed in NorCal now and it sucks even more, I can't drive my truck off base after the sun goes down because I'll get a 'fix-it' ticket.

I'm not saying it will happen right away where you're at, but keep in mind there are more and more tree huggers coming out of the woodwork trying to shut our sweet sounding trucks down with noise violations and damn SMOG tests.... I'd just hate to hear about a fellow truck driver spending money on a quality exhaust and then not be able to run his truck or having to spend even more getting it removed...

@Shotguz--+2!! You Forgot to mention the 1/2"Chain to bolt them on so nobody makes off with them....

ya it really depends on where you live in regard to how loud it is. Before I had my 05 i had a 92 f150 with a 5.0 true dual straight pipe stacks and it was loud as ****. I never got in trouble with the law with those pipes. But I must say though that i love a quiet truck like my 05 now. haha

"§ 46.2-1047. Operation of a motor vehicle with straight pipes (or no mufflers or gutted mufflers or cutouts)" ...
... or "§ 46.2-1049. Operation of a motor vehicle with insufficient muffling device" are popular tickets here as well.
