18th Annual "Good Neighbor Day" WEDNESDAY - SEPTEMBER 7TH
Good Neighbor Day is a simple thought: Receive one dozen roses FREE, keep one rose for yourself and give eleven roses away to eleven different people in friendship and love. Hopefully, by doing so, new acquaintances, new friends and a sense of community will be established. This was the vision of Brook Jacobs, Sr. in 1994 when he created “Good Neighbor Day”. Since then the tradition of Good Neighbor Day has grown from a single florist, Greenbrook Flowers, into an international day of Friendship and Love. Now sponsored by FTD Florists, it is celebrated in the United States and six other countries.
Good Neighbor Day has locally evolved as a way to help children. Donated items are raffled and all proceeds, along with other donations, are given to the Blair E. Batson Hospital For Children. With your help, the eighteenth anniversary of Good Neighbor day will be an enormous success for the Jackson community and its children.
Good Neighbor Day will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at
