now we have to wait to see if the county can get the image enhanced to see them better, it was over 75' away, so it might not be clear enough.

Hopefully they can clear it up enough..

I was going to ask how well you know everyone that was at the party this past weekend??

I used to watch a show with to ex thieves called "To catch a Thief" and they would show how to break into the home then upgrade the security fgor the owner..

A Couple times they cased the house by blending in at a party there

Afternoon Jersey-ites...

What a mess Steve... I know a little bit of how you feel about it. When my wife's car was stolen out of our driveway, I kept wondering if they came in the house too. (I had left the garage door open, and the keys in the car as I planned to put it away but forgot...). We were all asleep. I did figure out a week later that some of my tools were missing from the garage, so I know the punks came in that far.

The odd coincidence in our situation was the 20 year old neighbor kid had a thrown a party that night (the parents were gone), and there was a wild bunch there. I can't help but think someone from that party saw an easy opportunity to make off with the Lexus. The wife had left a credit card in the car, so we had charges from several gas stations... We stopped by a couple of those and the owners didn't care and would not check their video recordings.

Yeah, fortunately the local places know me and the PD said most places will give it up without a warrant, cause it could also help protect them too.

The Omaha police pretty much said they didn't care about catching car thiefs, especially if the car was insured. Ours turned up at police impound 7 days later after somebody reported it abandoned.

We did get lucky in that the guy who stole the car got ratted out by one of his buds... I went to the pre-trail hearing. The guy ended up plea-bargaining and got 2 years I think. I got a letter from the DA a couple years back saying he was up for parole, but never heard if he got out or not.

That's the problem with putting them away for awhile, they eventually get back out.

That's why I'm all for death penalty for all crimes!
