I finally picked up a lift pump for my truck. I got under the truck and took off the fuel line that runs from the fuel tank to the pump. No gas came out. Considering I have a full tank on one, and a half tank in the other this worried me. So, I reckon I've got a blockage. I have no clue if there's another filter close to the fuel tanks, or if it's the vacuum switch to change tanks, or maybe something else. Any ideas?

There should be no filter in the line from the tanks. With key on, engine off you should be able to hear the motorized change over valve work as you switch it if it is good.
If you remove both gas caps and blow down the pipe you should hear the air bubbling in the tank if there is no blockage, I would think.
