1951 F-3 front wheel bearings HELP!!

I need replacement front wheel bearings for my '51 F-3 in a bad way, does anyone know if these are available anywhere other than the specialty places? I've tried my local auto parts houses and they seem to be useless, so I am hoping that someone might know some part numbers I can take to a bearing supply house that will lead to the right parts. Since my truck is back to working for a living, taking the bearings out to use them as samples is a huge pain in the, well, you know where...Any input is appreciated, thanks for your help!

numberdummy will probably show up with accurate info in a bit. however, in my opinion, if you need these now, pull a wheel and take #'s off bearings and seal. then you can match them up at your jobber. you might try cr seals. i have had very good luck with them for extreme oddball items. maybe joblot in queens, ny. or macs auto supply. don't know where you are located. look for specialty bearing and seal shops or large truck brake shops.

Did you try a good locally run auto parts store? The big national chain stores aren't going to be of any help.

I'm pretty sure the bearings are the same for F-1 to F-3. I'm sure Numberdummy will know.

Yep, same for F-1 to F-3, available at NAPA and others. https://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/R...+50028+2028079

Front wheel bearing seal NAPA 17599

NAPA's on-line catalog is excellent and easy to use

1948/52 F1/F2/F3 & 1953/56 F100/250

O1Y-1190-A .. Grease Seal

O1Y-1201 .. Inner Wheel Bearing / BIN: 14130

O1Y-1202 .. Inner Wheel Bearing Cup / BIN: 14276
--------------------------------------------------
1948/52 F1/F2/F3 / 1953/56 F100/250 / 1949/54 Ford Passenger Cars

8A-1216-A .. Outer Wheel Bearing / BIN: 09067

8A-1217-A .. Outer Wheel Bearing Cup / BIN: 09195

BIN: Bearing Industry Number...stamped on the parts. BIN's are what autoparts stores/bearing shops go by.

Dozens of these bearings/cups and the seal are available NOS from Ford Dealers/obsolete parts vendors.

sawyersvintage: If you are in SoCal = Engler Brothers Auto Parts, on Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica. The best damn indie autoparts store for older vehicles.

Chain autoparts store (Auto-Zone, O'Reilly's and etc) minimum wage parts-clucks are usually clueless. And, the stores do not have part numbers for older vehicles on their computers.

So, the clucks are usually either too lazy, too stupid, or don't want to bother...to reach under the counter for the printed paper catalogs.

thanks very, very much for the info guys!! I was not aware that the F-1 and F-2 front ends were the same as the F-3, this makes life way easier, according to the Napa website they have 'em in stock at my local warehouse for around 20 bucks a pop......can't beat that!!

Wow, great response time guys!

While I resent the common idea that most chain auto parts store employees are dumb, I too took a few minutes to look on Autozone.com's website and behold...part numbers and availability. Same with Rockauto...who I generally have great luck with finding obscure part numbers for my customers.

Besides...not all of us Auto Zone folk are dumb...

My son used to work at one, so I know that's true! The one near me is run by very good hands, and I have to say the last bearings I bought there were Timken Made in USA, I had to pick my jaw off the ground!

I don't want to get into the whole parts lackey discussion cause it sickens me...besides, this was about bearings.

It sounds like some of the parts lackeys don't have any bearings.
