How much does the block weigh without the heads on? And with the heads?

About 900-920 pounds for direct and indirect injection and 860 pounds for non-turbo.


and figure the heads are around 75 at least.

Had the heads off my engine and had them rebuilt... Last week, before installing heads I just had to know how much do those suckers weigh.... Brought the digital scales from the bathroom to the garage...One head, without the injectors, rockers, glow plugs......112 pounds

 

About as much as Rosie O'Donnell.

 

9XX is the dry weight of the motor.
Without fluid.

Turbo weighs in about 45 lbs i'd say.
