A local guy has a 2 wd truck with 5 speed trans parts truck for sale. He says my transfer case will bolt right up to that trans. 2 wd and 4 wd trans is same. Anybody know if this is true? or do I need to find a 4 wd parts truck?

 

If his truck has a parking brake assembly bolted to the rear of the trans (as in the F450) then your transfer case will bolt up but if it does not have that, then look for a 4x4 trans, as a normal 4x2 trans will not work.

 

Yep output shaft will be too short
