Krog,
If your 57 has the 9" rear end you must use a shock mount from a 57-60, unless you just need the shock mount stud.
The lower spring perches/shock brackets are different from the 53-56's compared to the 57-60's

The dana 44's tube was smaller in diameter than the 9" tube and the brackets are specific for each rear end.

I know clear as mud!

Is there a left and right with these things. I can't remember without going out and crawling under. I think I have one kicking around somewhere.

B6C-18193-A .. Lower Shock Absorber Mounting Stud-to Spring Seat Cap / Stud: Right/Left is the same / Obsolete

Applications: 1956/58 F100/250 / 1959/60 F100/250 2WD & 4WD // 1956/77 P350 (P Series Parcel Delivery).

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has 1 = 607-722-5371.

GRIESEL MOTOR CO. in Okarche OK has 5 = 405-263-7242.
---------------------------------------------------------

1959/60 F100: If Limited Slip was ordered, Ford installed Dana 44 rear axles.

Ditto 1961/67 F100's and some 1968 F100's. 9" with Limited Slip was not offered for F100's until mid-year 1968.

9" rear axle introduced in 1957, Limited Slip in 1959 (for F100/250's & FoMoCo Passenger Cars w/a 9").

Is that the mounting bracket or just the stud ?

Ford Truck Parts Catalog part number and description: B6C-18193-A Lower Shock Absorber Mounting STUD -to Spring Seat Cap / Right/Left is the same.

You asked for a lower right shock mount, but didn't specify which parts you needed. Since the stud could be stripped or had crystalized and snapped, that's all I listed.

These should look and mount just like the '53-'56 ones just with the wider 3" spacing for the 9" rear. Correct me if I'm wrong??

1957/58 F100:

According to the '57/63 Ford truck parts catalog pic, the rear shock has an upper threaded end that fits to the frame bracket, an eye on the other end.

The stud (B6C-18193-A) passes thru the eye, connects to a L shaped bracket (B7C-18132-A ~ R/S = 1957/58 only) that has two mounting holes.

This bracket then mounts below the lower spring cap. The rearmost spring clip (U-bolt) passes thru the lower spring cap, then thru the two holes in the bracket.

The stud is the same as '56, but on '56's, the stud attaches directly to the lower spring cap. 1957/58 is different, uses the bracket which is R/L specific.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B6C-18193-A .. Lower Shock Absorber Mounting Stud / 1957/58-to bracket (to spring cap on '56's) / Obsolete

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has 1 = 607-722-5371.

GRIESEL MOTOR CO. in Okarche OK has 5 = 405-263-7242.
---------------------------------------------------------
B7C-18132-A .. Right Lower Shock Absorber Mounting Bracket / Obsolete

BOWMAN SALES & SERVICE in Bowman ND has 1 = 701-523-3257.

No other Ford Dealer, no obsolete parts vendor has any.
