Just can't help myself!

So, Last week I traded my 51 F5 COE project truck for body and paint work on my 52 F6 (just need to get it moving now!!) to the guy that built all three of these trucks in the following pictures.
He's brilliant!!!
Notice the 51 52 truck on the rollback? it's got the earlier bed on it. 4x4

So this is what I picked up today, this disease...

its got the big six (froze up) synchro trans, 2 spd rear, magic air heater (which has an interesting air vent tubes and chamber off the heater, will post pictures later) has a few bigger dents etc but is fairly solid, less rust than the 51 has.

Nice find, Josh! Keep me in mind if you need any 254 parts. I have one engine that's broken I've been parting out, and another one that turns over fine and haven't yet found anything wrong with it.

Thanks guys, I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with it, (yet).
This one is a 5 star deluxe cab it has dome light, locking glove box, magic air fresh air heater, stainless windshield trim, stainless wing vent frames, inside door trim work with armrests handles, keyed lock on drivers door, let's see- did I miss anything?? Oh ya and heated seats!!! Just kidding
Cheers

Josh.

Josh - I waved Thursday morning on the way past Ogden. Since it was 4:30 a.m. your time zone I thought it might be a little early to stop. I was hauling my "treasure" home from Oregon.

Yours is in great shape. You'll have the COE market cornered soon. Stu

At least Josh moved one out to make room for another, and gets a paint job out of the deal. Stu

I would think five star COEs would be very uncommon, great score. And a person can never have enuff COEs John

the head was removed on this one over ten years ago so now it's probably froze up even tighter... I am not sure what im doing with this one yet?

Well, yes I would have been asleep, but thanks for thinking of me..

post up some better pictures of your new treasure (if you don't mind) when you get a chance.
So are you going to get distracted from your other MH projects with this one or are they all blended up together/??

LOL, ya. did I mention I was trimming?? I couldn't pass this one up for the price, a scrapman would have broke even with it or maybe even made $10...

I still have a line of this 54 C600 (body is not as great of shape) but about the same price, may still end up getting it just to flip?? but have to drive a few hours to get it and it's just not as cool of a truck. the other thing about this truck that tempts me is the guy also has 4 9.00x20's traction treads in great shape (used) that I can get for about $20 each ) so If I make the drive I would get the 54 to flip and at least pay for my tires and gas, time etc.??
truck

tires

If only I had a couple acres (couple hundred hahahaha )

Yep, I'm pretty excited about the trade for body and paint. with the size of the truck and limited (non existent) paint experience the 52 F6 is going to look 100 X's better than I could ever dream of doing... going to do it it two stages, cab first then the rest of the body parts.

going to be the original "Glen Mist Green" but havent decide on whether to paint the grill the off white color or maybe Argent Silver to kinda match the bottom half of glove box door, ash tray, and speaker grill/radio cover???

Here is the overflow parking as of now...

I can't remember if I've seen any others around either??

I think if I can hold onto it (store it) long enough that maybe I'll make something out of it. swap it onto a more modern drivable chassis??
