Unidentified Ford
Hi Everyone, I'm new to the forum and know next to nothing about Fords so hope someone can help me with a question I have. If so it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm a travel writer by trade and recently hitched across Australia for a book I am writing on this trip and got picked up by the delightful Ford in the following photo and even got to drive this baby for a while.

Problem is, I have lost my notes on the details of what type of Ford it is exactly. If anyone could tell me what it is, how big the engine is - apparently it had some especially large block - or any other details it would really help me out as I have also lost the driver's details.
Many thanks in advance. Happy driving,
JP

G'Day, Ford Truck Mate!
Yes, it is the "brick" body style made here in North America as model years 1987-1991. The one in your pic I assume is a right hand drive, given that the wipers are reversed from what they are here in NA on our left hand drive units. That one could very well be newer than '91 since many manufacturers build & market models in other parts of the world after they are out of production here. It also appears to have glass headlights - a feature not used on that body style here. (Too bad - glass units do not yellow & haze!)
That is also one great cow-catcher bumper & guard unit, complete with a winch for rescues there in the outback! Thank you for a most intriguing post.
