how to use a diesel timing machine

Hello, My friend got a diesel timing machine from the military. Does anyone know how to use one really good? If so can someone time my truck for me? and we can time yours. It runs great but I would like it to be perfect. Also it wouldnt hurt if someone chould show my how to tune my IP bc I put new injectors on my truck and I think Im getting to much fuel now

PS. This machine looks old lol. Email would be easyier bc I forget to check the fourm.
