Windshield Replacement 1980 Ford F100

I am about to replace the front windshield on my truck. Since the old one has 3 cracks running from side to side. I want to do this before I get it inspected.

I want to order the weatherstripping kit from BroncoGraveyard (windows, doors, rear window set). This does not appear to include the front windshield weatherstripping.

My chrome molding on the front windshield looks good so I am going to keep that but do I need to get a windshield weatherstripping as well, or have the guys replacing the windshield bring it for me.

If I need to pick it up where is a good place to buy the frond windshield weatherstripping?

Thanks,
Richard

I am not aware of any "weatherstripping" per se on these things, the windshields are held in with an adhesive that comes in a tube.

When Techniglass changed my windshield out they did install a rubber seal on my truck. That was about 5 yrs ago, and I've never had a problem with it.

I had a guy come to the house and replace the windshield on my truck for $125. Made a dramatic difference in what I could see at night as the old one was badly pitted. In any event, he used a sealant/adhesive in a tube, which he brought with him as part of the deal.

X3. No rubber weatherstriping on front window, just a glue-like sealant that holds it in place.

Try to make sure they don't replace your windshield with one designed for 92-96 Ford trucks. It will fit, but will obscure your dashboard VIN.
