68 f250 edelbrock intake

So im new to this website and i thought i might as well use it sense it seems to be pretty reliable. I have a 68 f250 with a 390 in it and when i bought it, it came with a not yet installed edelbrock intake and carb and I was just wondering if theres anything i should look out for or do while i have the intake off of the motor?

if your going to go through that work id take the valve covers off and check if they are tight enough. don't have to but if i was workikng on the top side of the engine i would just take about 30 more minutes to check that. and the gaskets. lol

The valve covers have to come off when changing the intake on an fe. push rods have to come out also.
