Since you in Detroit I would bring my AE scanner.

And I think I do had IPR valve but double check on it.

I dunno if you are gonna do the Down Pipe mod but here is a link showing how NOT to cut the old one out. DON'T US A TORCH.

FYI: The IPR is out without damage to the unit.

As you can see from the pictures, the front/nose O-rings are trashed.

Because of time pressure, my plan is to get the kit from Village FORD Monday.

Meet this guy. I would say He great mechanic with TONS Patience. When I look that 7.3L in Van It was CRAMP IN IT so bad. I think this is first time He had diesel with electric/computer. He had several cars with mechanical diesel.


That IPR was RUSTED badly it finally loose.

We saw that 1 green o-ring with plastic ring were TORN. It look like high oil pressure blew up that original o-ring. It had over 275K miles. He say it died after he got on driveway which had little steep up so I suspect it push oil pressure up then o-rings gave up then it died.
