Modular 4.6 in 79 F100 2wd
Hey Folks,
I want to run an idea pass you guys (and girls), I have a 1979 F100 2WD shortbed. I am thinking of putting a 4.6l and trans combo in the truck to max my HP and TQ output and MPG. I will be hauling stuff in the bed and will tow a trailer for short periods, no long trips or anything like that.
-what year and type of 4.6l would be best? 4.6l SOHC or DOHC?
-what are my options on programming the ECM for performence etc.
