Question Windowshield Interchange?

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can interchange a 94 F250 windshield with a 95 F150?

That should not be a problem as far as fitment goes, but you may break the glass when removing it.

If it were installed with a gasket, it would be easier to remove. Its not a like an older car. The front windshield is installed with adhesive, so its more difficult to remove. Most of the time they don't fair to well when being removed. I do not know of a good way to remove it without damage. Maybe someone else does.

check this out... you can buy this tool at harbor frieght

Windshield removal to install new windshield - YouTube

but FYI there are plenty of on call window change places that will change a windshield for cheap. out in, way to farking expencive to do anything, washington i can get my windshield changed for $180 and the dude comes out to my place to do it.

how much does a used windshield cost from the yard? or do you already have one? then there is the price of the tool, and window sealant (3M 8609 window weld)

My son works in the business and states it is possible to remove our windshields intact but make sure its in good condition before installation. Any slight crack on the edge or surface can grow after installation. Fortunately ours are among the cheapest to buy new.

I was told by an employee of my local JY that many customers remove Windshields by pouring Brake Fluid along the edges of the glass and let it sit overnight. They come back the next day and the Windshield comes right out. I have never tried this but I do know that Brake Fluid will eat its way through most adhesives. It may be worth a try.

Careful you don't damage your paint with the brake fluid.

I tried one of those windshield removal kits with the two handles and the wire, on a cracked windshield, and I got halfway around the windshield with zero problems, except that I kept breaking the wire!

I would have got the whole way around, without damaging it anymore, but I got sick of replacing the wire, on a windshield I was just practicing on.

I am not worried about the paint as the cab is total rust now. Heck the windshield and back window are probly holding the roof on now! Again the summer rain is finaly raining and I can't put any brake fluid on the windwhield glue...... Of all the times I wanted rain it didn't, but now it does.
