Misfire on a particular cylinder may be initiated by several different situations, ignition/spark is only one of them..

A bad/plugged fuel injector can cause the same condition.

You need to connect to a full data scanner and check the parameters.. guessing only cost $$$$$... Philip

That also is a possibility, to eliminate that possibility you will need to

  • Perform a pressure test of the cooling system, if it shows leak down
  • Perform a combustion gas analysis of the coolant... if there is no indicator
  • Perform a compression test, Warm engine, WOT (wide open throttle) Ignition and fuel cut, wet/dry..

Are you having to add coolant????

That would have been the first clue that should have ben included in your first post...

Confirm the HG leak with a combustion gas analysis to the coolant.

That is the assumption, until you complete the test.......

I would not proceed further until I had result confirming leak.... Philip

Mechanic in a can is risky business, especially in the heat of the Middle East, Overheating is a probability and engine damage is assured..... Philip

You must be serious about this and follow the steps I outlined to confirm the condition. Once confirmed the only option would be to remove the heads and replace the head gaskets in an orderly and prescribed manner, there are no short cuts to a good job....

I do not know what skill level you have or if you are even capable of such a job. It may be best to locate a confident and capable local mechanic....

The version of engine you have also makes a difference in how you would proceed... OHV (overhead Valve) or OHC (overhead Cam).. Philip
