Got to drive an F1 today for the first time!
My brother-in-law is a car salesman. he called me this morning and told me to come down...I got to drive it and we talked about trading my pontoon boat in for it. I doubt that will happen but....
Anyway its a '50 , its got the 239 flatty, 3 speed. pretty much all original except the paint job. I would love to get it, but I can't see it happening. But at least now I know what it feels like! Its like driving a high speed tractor! I really enjoyed it! Even though the pics look great, it does need some attention. He said they are going to price it at $10,900 but its not worth that. not going into detail why right now,but it was fun!

I would give up the boat in a heartbeat, but we owe a "boat"load of money on the boat. just depends on if my brother in law can make something to happen. and I doubt he can....
Yeah I don't smile like that often! I hate seeing pics of myself too, but a picture is worth a thousand words so....
Ultimately I think its best if I just stick with what I got. I was out in the garage afterwards and I really want to see the end result of my creation!
Doing it yourself is very rewarding to me. I just wish I could get out of the financial slump we are in, so I could get back to work on the truck.

The hood was caved in some on top, the bed had a steel floor welded in and the welding wasn't ground down so it was pretty ugly in there.
the rain gutters were showing rust pretty bad and the hinge areas for the doors were rusted/bondo fix...trying to hide underlying problem. something was wierd with the seat, leaning forward too much. i would have to say it needs new king pins or at least greased. not really trying to make it look bad, but I would want all this stuff repaired and I might as well do all that on mine.

Good on ya mate!
Great quote, requesting your permission to use at my discursion without attribution.
If this truck has the stock front axle etc. with those fat tires then there is message here for the Neanderthals about IFS.
Maybe so that they could sell it to someone like you?
