Who has ordered a new truck, looking to order a 2012

So I think I am gonna just dive in, really dont want a car payment again but I think it will be worth it!!! So I cant find a 2011 that has everything I want around me, so thinking of ordereing the 2012. Plus it looks like there are a few nice to have options for the 2012 over the 2011 and for what the build price difference is, I would only be paying a few hundred more for a EXACTLY what I want. So who has ordrred a truck and how was it, dealer is saying 6-10 weeks from when I order it, I have x-plan so the price is pretty much the price with no hassel with the exception of rebates. Right now if I was to buy here in CT I could get $4500 in rebates, the dealer is saying that the rebates apply for when the truck is picked up...... Kinda leary about buying something sight unseen but I know what its is.. How has it gone for everyone? Thanks guys

What are you looking for? I ordered a long bed SC in Glastonbury CT around July 7 and its due Sept 7. I dont know much about rebates for my original order was in May But the truck got smashed in the lot right after it was delivered. The reorder was just with Ford, were still working off orriginal paperwork

I ordered my 2011 last year. This was the first time I had ever ordered a vehicle of any kind. While the waiting was terrible, it was sooo worth it. Getting the truck EXACTLY as you want it, no sacrificing of any options is great. Also, knowing that your truck hasn't been test driven by anyone was pretty cool as well. And although painful to wait, the process was actually pretty fun. Waiting for VIN number, build date, first time seeing your window sticker, tracking your truck's shipping path and progress, etc. If I'm ever looking to buy a new vehicle again, I'll order again. It's really worth the wait.

I ordered 7-7-11, eta 8-29. Dealer said they would give me either rebates at time of order or delivery which ever is better. Right now I think it is $2500.

Yes that place is crazy they have like 46 F-350s!!!!! I looked around there and as there were many that I liked alot there was not that one. I just feel like if I am gonna spend all the money that they cost I want to get the exact one I want. I have been getting pretty picky lately about them.... Also was not sure about coming back to pay cash for tax in CT when I registered vs financeing tax into price at CT dealer.
