It's a good feeling. I paid off my car on this deployment, and paid off my school loans. I now own both my car and truck in full with no more loans for a while.

Being a grown up isn't so much fun sometimes. The wife went and playedoff our home equity loan yesterday.iI would have loved to finish buying some truck parts for my project. Alas my family has to come first so I will have to figure out financing otherwise.
Having the bank off my back will be glorious really.that's 3years early:-)

I'm not worried John. 12-15 years and I'll have it all paid off. There's only 2 things that can change that. The quota system being dismantled or a new barn lol. The new barn would be nice though. All my cows under 1 roof instead of on 2 different farms. Ooooooo. The thought makes me warm and fuzzy inside. WAIT. 12-15 years lol

170,000 on the reg cab truck. 97,000 on the extended cab; had only 63,000 on it when we bought it in 2009.
House, land, cabin, all vehicles paid off. We made some major payments on principal on the house and paid it off in half time. Everything that's in our names is in our names ONLY. TBH I never worried about the debt itself. I worried about the bank being on the deed, having heard more than one story about people not even one second behind on their payments getting foreclosed on because of some "administrative error" or the note being "sold".
