My 97 F350 CC 7.3 5 spd had 75,000 and Ford replaced engine at 35,000 miles. Towing 38' 5th whl race trailer to Denver got 10 average whole trip.

I bought the truck used in 98 with 33,000 miles. Just before 36,000 (end of warranty) I took it to Ford with a little lope at idle. While performing a bunch of diagnostics they determined it had the dreaded?? Water cavitation issue along with others. It may have helped to have several friends working there?? They decided to replace the engine with a Ford Rebuilt so I had them do the flywheel recall?? and I paid for a new clutch.

I now have approx. 75,000 total miles &/or 36,000 on engine. Shortly after the turbo started leaking and they replaced it and seal??

Truck runs great now what with good fuel pressure and the TS chip.

After the engine replacement I bought a Banks Git Kit (chip and 3" down pipe) and when installed I replaced exhaust with 3 1/2" straight pipe w/homemade 5" x 48" muffles. Muted exhaust but nice! Also after all this when revved up and full boost it is now 25" instead of less than 20".
