I'm at 285k on the 96 and just turned 124k on the 97. I need to get the 96 back on the road so I quit racking up the miles on my 97.

My rebuild project truck had 365k on it before I tore her down. The engine going into it had 199k on it before being rebuilt. There was nothing wrong with the 365k engine, but the body needed attention. The body and frame around the 199k engine were rotted due to years of plowing....

just in case you didn't know. Your truck is a pre powerstroke. A 7.3idi. It's a pretty different animal than these. But get us some pics. I love the looks of that body style. I had a 89 7.3 that did me very well.

318,000 miles...I've been slowing down as I replaced it as my daily driver with a 1981 vw diesel, but she is always there ready to go. The bank sometimes asks me what assets I have. WHen I say a Ford 250 with 318K on the clock, they say it's not worth anything. I politely let her know that there's a lot of people on this forum who would disagree with her.

Hey. Don't I know it. I loved my idi too. I treated it well and it did the same for me. I sold it quite a while ago and regretted it. Just make sure you keep up on the sca levels and oil changes and that old girl will take you anywhere

I got a 97 F 250 diesel crew cab 4 wheel drive with three hundred and sixty eight thousand miles as soon as I put a new front end and tires on her I will get her back on the road damn good truck. Also going to put a hitch on the front of my truck so I can put a basket in it and haul my generator and chainsaw and not take up room in my bed
