My 6.0 has three codes...

We just got back from vacation and I took the truck into AutoZone to get the codes read. It has P0478, P0299, and U1900 codes. It threw a check engine the first day out, but I wasn't concerned b/c it's done it before when we've towed our 5th wheel (P0299). I get lazy and run it on cruise. We're running pretty light (about 8000#) and I didn't notice any performance issues except for some low speed surging (Tow/Haul on). No smoking or hard starts. After the check engine light came on I tried to keep the turbo at 20# or under. We went 3779 miles with over 85% of that towing. Went over 6 passes of up to 9400 ft. towing and probably as many light. We averaged 12.1 mpg on paper, so no fuel consumption issues either. All temps ran in the normal range. Are these anything to be worried about?

P0478 Exhaust Pressure Control Valve High
P0299 turbo underboost
U1900 - Communication bus fault
The first thing I would check is restriction in the exhaust.
How old is the turbo?

Start by pulling the EBP sensor and cleaning the tube.

Its located on the driver side exhaust manifold.

It comes right off the manifold up a pipe to a sensor. Cant miss it. Easy to take off and clean and/or replace.
