Tire helppppp

Hey guys!

Wow havent been on here in forever! Well trucks got a few small issues. One being my tires.......they leak. I have to fill them up every other day or so. Im doing the D60 swap with the 3 inch RSK in a few weeks (have all the parts, just busy). Im keeping my factory 16" alcoas. Whats a good tire to go with? I stick to pavement. Truck doesnt see snow or mud. Everywhere i go they get almost 300 a tire......Any ideas?

Mike, what size open country's do you have and where did you get them? I'm having a hard time locating them in load range E. I have a smaller set on my cherokee and love them...so much so that I bought a set for my girls grand cherokee

I just put Cooper Discoverer AT3, 285/75/16 on mine. I think they are about $200 or less apiece. I don't have many miles on them yet but so far I like them. The reviews were also good.

Not running them right now, but I have several friends that run them on their diesels and love them. Great traction and wear well. Plus I see them being run on a lot of the pulling trucks with a lot of success, and they're priced right.

I actually have 3 good 255/85-16 BFGoodrich MT's from my '87 that I'm going to run, they're about a 33x10.50 basically. I found a local tire shop that has one used one in that size they'll sell me for $40 so I'm gonna run that set when my crappy mickey thompsons die (which will be soon)

I wish I could find a 35x10.50 tire... that would be awesome. I want the extra height, but not the extra width. I'll probably end up running 315's when I get my 4x4 swap done after I wear out those 255/85's

See, I think anything shorter than a 35 just looks goofy on these trucks in 12.5 width.

Like Chase's truck (sorry Chase) just looks weird with those 305's on it. 315's look ok, 37x12.5 looks better though in my opinion...

For 33" tires I think 285's are as wide as I would want it. I think the 255/85's are perfect, about 33.5" tall and 10.5" wide. But that's just me...
