I appreciate all the welcomes. I have never been part of a chapter of any kind really. I am excited to get to know some people here. My truck is posted in my garage, check it out. Let me know what you think. Shes got a lot of work left in her, and a lot of work left to complete her.
Right now my main concern is getting her road ready. And finding a truck bed. I've already started a parts collection, much to the despise of my wife. Recently picked up a mint dash cover, a spare instrument cluster, a spare grill, a sliding back window, and spare dash bezel.
Again, thanks for the welcome! I hope I can offer a little input from time to time, I know some of you Ford veterans are going to be helping me out a ton.
I couldn't pay my wife to care about this truck. All she wants to do is drive it when it is done. I may have to lift it just high enough so she can't get into the truck.......
Well she is a little similar in the height. Which tells me the 4" lift I was planning on may be too short!! You do have running boards on your truck though.....I may have to "accidentally" forget to install some.
I do plan on on some 36" or 37" tires right now. I want to eventually (it may never happen I've heard) break my front axle. If I do, it is an excuse to go with a Dana 60 up front.
If it can barely fit in your garage, then in my opinion, you've done good. The only way you could do better is if you had to let out the air in the tires every time you wanted to put it in the garage.
