Super Duty 4x4 Ride height
I have a question about ride height on your Super Duty trucks...
I have a 2000 F250 4x4 SuperCab 8' Box with a 5.4 V8 and auto trans. My truck came with an 8' Western plow installed. I just purchased this a couple months back from a local Ford dealer so I don't know any of the history. But I pulled up near to my buddy's 1999 F350 4x4 V10 and I sit at least 4" higher than him in the front with the plow removed.
So I am trying to figure out if his is lower than normal or if mine is higher...I measured from the wheel lip to the ground front and rear and the measurements are as follows:
40" Front
41" Rear
Need new tires before winter and I would like to move up from my current 265/75/16 to a 285/75/16 and was planning on getting a leveling kit, but if this sits higher than normal already I will just get the tires
Any input would be appreciated.

I don't have a measuring tape handy, but will check later because my 2000 F250 sits a lot higher than some F250/350's I've parked next to at wal mart and the like.
As far as I can tell my truck doesn't have a lift kit, it just sits higher than the others.
If you can post pictures of your leaf springs, I will try to get some later.

My 2005 F250 XL 6.0 FX4 seems to sit higher than similar non FX4 trucks even though I have a OK Industries Rancher Grill Guard and Snug Top camper shell. I know that my 245/75 17" tires are within on tenth of an inch in diameter than the OEM XLT-up 265/70 17" tires.
Maybe it's because I have the Camper Package on the truck (with uprated springs and rear helper springs) or maybe it's because my truck is a lighter single cab, but it's it seems I'm riding higher than any other stock diesel pick up I see in traffic. I bought my truck new, so I know it's stock. I'm pretty sure my front springs are the same as the springs on the plow package.
Somebody with Texas as part of his screen name asked me to post a picture of my truck to see the stock OEM tires. I deleted the PM by accident, so I'll post the picture here:
The truck weight 7,28o lbs. with the fuel gauge reading 3/4.
