Question Trac Bar Relocation Bracket

Try this again. Is the trac bar relocation bracket necessary for the SD's on a 4' lift.

4'. Whew. thats a lot of lift. Just kidding but I probably won't be the only one. I'm not sure on your question. Somebody will be along soon.

With 4" of lift I would say that you should get a drop trac bar bracket and a drop pitman arm. All of the 4" lifts that I have looked at include or recommend them.

Hope this helps.

I called Jack-It L.L.C. last week to get a price on a Skyjacker 4" lift. They said that the Skyjacker kit doesn't come w/ a drop pitman arm but they included one w/ the kit anyways. I should probably confirm that w/ Skyjacker first but I haven't.

Hmm....didn't know that Skyjacker didn't include it.
I have heard that Superlift doesn't include a pitman arm in their 4".
IMO, it's a good idea to get since I think they include a trac bracket and you'll want to keep all of your steering geometry in check.

What size drop on the pitman arm is suitable for the 4" kit. Would a 3" drop work? I can order the Trac Bar relocation bracket direct from Superlift for the 4" system, but they didn't specify the pitman arm lenght.

I would look at this post about the Superlift Trac bracket and pitman arm:

Ya, the instructions for the Skyjacker lift kit states "Skyjacker's new drop pitman arm is needed for 4", 6" and 8" lifts (it is ordered separately in 4" and 6" kits, but included in the 8" kit box)."
