Zoodad in Colorado

Hey everyone. I have a 2003 F-350 4X4 SRW CC SB FX4 with a V-10. I was reading about the zoodad mod. I have been considering it. My biggest concern with it is getting water and snow in the air filter box. I live in Arvada, west of Denver. Has anyone out here in Colorado tried it and what is your experiance and opinion about it. Thanks for the help. God bless. CP

Shawns Fords is starting off with a positive reputation.
Never even heard of it. Might Google it when I'm home to see what it is.

i saw one post about someone doing this mod but they didn't describe what the mod was...just that they did it. I am not clear either what this is.

On the Super Duties, the stock air box inlet is almost right up against the radiator support on the driver side. There is a plastic panel where it is. The ZooDad mod is when people cut a hole in the plastic panel right in front of the inlet. This creates a "Ram Air" affect and also gives it a cooler charge of air. I was considering this mod, but living in Colorado, with the snow and rain we have, i am worried about moisture getting into the air box and messing things up. I was hoping to hear from someone who has tried this here in Colorado and get their opinion on it.

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

God bless,

Cory
