your egr valve needs to be cleaned or replaced sounds like its getting stuck open

sorrey that prints small when I cut and paste stuff

heres one that reads better

P0402 C* Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Excessive Detected EGR Valve Position does not match desired, limits based on
engine speed / load.

It should be done soon....you don't want to blow your head gaskets.

How does a sticking EGR valve cause a blown HG?

Superheats the coolant..... superheated coolant cannot expand under the heads...the 6.0 has torque to yield head bolts. Pressure lifts the heads and the gaskets are compromised.

How does it "superheat" the coolant?

Is there something I am missing.....

Sorry - was confusing the EGR cooler with the engine oil cooler... however when one fails, the other isn't far behind. If the ENGINE oil cooler plugs, then my statement holds. Again I apologize for reading something that wasn't really there.
