Gauges in 48-50 Canadian Ford Trucks

Can anyone confirm for certain whether or not the gauges in the 48-50 Canadian Trucks (F-47/F-57/F-68) are in miles or km? I assume they'd be in miles but I was wondering.

My 52 is in MPH, so I think it would be safe to say the earlier models would be, too. I don't believe Canada switched to the metric system until the 70's, but you north of the border types would know that better than me. ;-) The only kph speedo's from the era I've ever seen were in pictures from other continent exports.

I don’t think kilometers even existed in Canada in the fifties; we had to wait for some stupid government to invent them.

It will be miles per hour. The metric system wasn't in use in Canada until sometime in the 70's I believe.

I have a 48-53 merc m135, a 51-52 ford f5, and a 51 merc m-1, and they are all in MPH. I dont believe any of them came in metric, ever, if they did Ive never seen one!
