A little more done today

I used white paint with artists brushes on the script I got from Abe from his earlier model hood. They shouldn't be called artists brushes when I'm using them... But it came out OK, I think.

I have lots to do with the bed before I attach it to the back. But here's a few shots.

Thanks Joe. I haven't finalized plans for the bed yet, but at least I have a script to add to it now.

Wow, Joe. That looks great. You did a good job with that. I glad I decided to cut the script off the hood. From PA to CA!

Thanks Abe.

I'm really quite happy with the way it turned out. Just had to see a rear bed script in that original hood piece. I knew it was in there.

Thanks Mark. It's one of those 20 foot paint jobs! I would need a much steadier hand to do better.

The metal was really pretty rusty and cleaning the rust produced a couple of pinholes. But they're not really noticeable now, and will become invisible when it's mounted to the bed.

Looks good Joe!

I have been wanting to find some small scripts to add to the inside of my doors...just under the window. Thought it might dress up the otherwise plain interior. Is that weird?

Thanks Scott.

I don't think that's weird. I think it would look good if it was molded into ABS door panels. But your welding skills are such that you could add a metal script piece to each door and make it look factory.

I'm not sure of your door shape. I know it's not like mine. But the tailgate script might be too big for the door. This smaller version I got from Abe from the older hood sides might be just the ticket.

Templates are available for Ford tractors that are so close to the truck script I have a hard time telling the difference.

Yes, I would weld them in.....but they would have to be pretty small. A subtle mod that would look kinda factory...
Ones like yours might still be too big.

All of this is just a daydream anyway.

Do you mean a raised script template like what's on the tailgates and beds, or a stencil? I saw stencils online for painting the script, but nothing with a raised script.

A lot of the fun of having these trucks is daydreaming...
