Rocket Racing - Rocket Strikes (finally got my wheels on!)

I have a build thread that I post in whenever I have updates, but I wanted to share a picture of my truck today since I finally got all four wheels on it! I am loving the stance and the wheels.

I originally ordered the wheels from an ebay seller in February, and they were drop shipped from Rocket Performance Machine. When they got to my house, the front 15x6's didn't have the correct bore size and I had to send them back. After talking to Rocket Performance Machine, they told me that the whole batch had been machined with the wrong bore size and there weren't any with the bigger bore. I waited and kept contacting them every 4-6 weeks to see if they had arrived. Last week, finally, Shawn at Newstalgia Wheel (basically same company as Rocket Racing) had the front wheels machined out to the correct size for me and even gave me a discount for patiently waiting. Even though it took a long time to get the front wheels, the experience was positive and they were all really nice to work with. He said that Rocket Racing wheels are doing well and they will have new sizes for most of the models they currently carry soon.

Thank you. It's easier to be patient when the truck doesn't run

They're a great choice. I love the stance. Has a very slight rake to it, no? A whisker higher at the back? I really like that.

Thanks! Yes, I'm a fan of the rake...I think it's about spot on. It's about 5.5" off the ground at front of running board, and 10" off the ground at the back.

Thanks! All bolt on suspension modifications. 3" Drop axle with down and forward reverse eye lowering springs (from mid fifty) up front. Mid fifty's adjustable hanger in the front of the rear spring, moved up an inch on the frame and on the lowest setting. Mid Fifty's "extended y hangers" or shackles on the back of the rear spring.

Doing all of that really nailed the stance in my opinion! Now I will just have to get Axracer to help me get some good shocks for it.

Thanks! Tires are 235/75r15 (rear) and 215/70r15 front.

The front 15x6's have 3.25" backspacing and the 15x7's out back have 4.25" backspacing. I have a 9" rear from a '69 f100 and a dropped front axle.
