i have a 1999 ford exp. i was wonder if i could check the transfer case fluid.

 

There is a fill plug and a drain plug, the fill plug will be higher than the drain plug and should have fill stamped by the plug. the fluid should be level with the threads, it is normal for a very small amount of fluid to come out but if a lot come out your input shaft seal is bad and the tranny is pushing fluid into the transfer case.

 

were is it on the truck

 

underneath your truck towards the front connected to the transmission, it looks some what like this (see link) you use a socket extension to get it out.
