1995 Bronco bad bog @ 2500 rpm

Hey folks I bought a 95 bronco with a 302 and it will bog to the point were it almost stalls at around 2500-3000 any things to look for ? I did pull my distrubtor cap its dirty and same with my rotor so il try that also and my cheak engine light flickers on and off any help would be great thanks

As always when these kind of issues show, get the codes, here is how to: Ford Fuel Injection » How To Run a Self-Test . This will probably point at the cause, if not, check the timing, it could be off, then the fuel pressure. As you can see, there are a lot of probable causes, but try the self-diagnose before anything else.

check the fuel pressure the next time it bogs, might be the fuel pump. Ford makes a good replacement, it'll last another 150,000 miles.

sounds like its also time for a basic tune up also. be sure to run motorcraft or autolite copper plugs, nothing fancy. get the codes and let us know what you find out.

Ok today i bought new plugs,Rotor, distribtor cap and its still doing it I guess I will have to put my code scanner on it and see Thanks for the tips I will cheak that and get back to you guys.

Buy the Equus 3145, it's a great, cheap tool to get codes. Hmmm but i don't think it will work for you if your truck is OBDII, you should check that out before.

Yea I have the obd 1 scanner tool so im gonna give it a try this afternoon

Found the proublem it was the throttle positon sensor for under $100 im back to wheeling
