Fifth wheel bed mount hole cover / pucks

I was looking for something to cover the four holes in the bed that my fifth wheel hitch fits into. The hole size is 2 inches. Does anyone know the diameter of the ford OEM pucks that come with the fifth wheel prep package. By the way I really like my new 18K pull-rite super glide hitch worked great my first trip with new fifth wheel. Pulled about 13000 lb trailer on 1200 mile from central California up to Grants Pass, Oregon and back down the coast. I used 93 gallons and got an average of 12.3 mile per gallon. Truck worked like a charm. No issues.

the Ford covers are two pieces. An "escutcheon" type outer ring and a plug for the center, and it doesn't work very good.

I agree. I think I have 1 left in the bed. They pop out with just about anything in the bed. I believe 2-3 of mine are somewhere in my mulch beds around my house....

Clicked on the link above and think I found the answer : "aluminum caps"

I would guess that these are rust proof.

fifth wheel caps

I've had mine for about 3 months now and no rust whatsoever. Mine are aluminum with stainless hardware, but they also offer them in powder coated black with anodized black hardware.

I also bought these caps, great product. They bolt in place in seconds. Here are some pics from their site fifthwheelcap.com

F350 pucks

I'm assuming that company is overwhelmed or out of business. They are impossible to find now. I just milled and made my own. Cost me about an hour and 20 bucks.

I have also tried finding these or this company and you cannot even get to their website any more.
The reason I wanted these is because I have a Roll-n-Lock cover on the bed of my truck. I have sealed the tailgate area to prevent dust from being sucked in when out in the country on dirt roads.
I had not thought about the 5th wheel and gooseneck holes sucking in dust until last weekend when I got back from being in the country to find my bed full of dust from it coming in through these holes.
Since I cannot find these puck replacements, I ordered a rubber bed mat today to lay in the bed. Seems silly to have to do that when I already have a sprayed in bed liner but I cannot think of anything else that will keep the dust out besides a rubber bed mat.
If anyone knows where these caps are available, I would be interested in a set as they look really nice and exactly what I would be looking for to solve that dust issue.

I could make you a set like mine (painted tho, mine are not yet) if you'd like. I'm thinking about even picking up the slack where that Co bailed and cnc ING a few sets. I may have to poll you guys and see if it's worth the time tho.

Do you have any close up photos of the ones you made? I would be very interested. Did you also make one for the center gooseneck hole?
