That is excellent! Since you mentioned pulling one key and epoxying in another I have to wonder if the original key (2003) could be built into and epoxied in the original 03 fob?

I don't think the structure of the fob would support that much cutting. It took me 1-2 hours excising with a lighter and razor blade the first time. Had to be careful and not get the circuit board.

They're only $30ish on eBay. Worst case the fob won't work. As long as you don't cut the key first, you'd be able to sell to pretty much any 05+ guy. FOB programming takes all of 30 seconds

added some more crap to list above. had forgotten stuff.

gonna sell the SCT X3 (p/n: 3015). I got a Xcal2 that will work just as well. Thinking I'm going to buy the 08 mirrors, and then sell my 06 Tow Mirrors. Only be a little bit more $$$ out of pocket

I'm really surprised people don't rock these keys already. It was a huge must have Mod for the F-150/Mustang crowd about 2-3 yrs back.

Glad to resurrect that mod

tried to order the new 70 psi blue fuel spring. Found the IH version for $27. They want $30 to ship it. Go figure. Gonna send it to my sister in Texas and have her pay the whopping $3 to ship it to me in Hawaii.

FedEx and UPS are worthless!

edit: ordered the Navistar Blue Spring kit. $32 shipped to my sis in Texas. $2-3 bucks from her to me...so $35 total ain't bad IMO. anyone interested in getting it can buy it here for $32 themselves after 15% coupon (1AP311). Cheapest I could find the spring and o-ring kit anywhere.

it's going Fed-Ex to her house, she'll drop it USPS Priority mail to me. so it'll actually cost me $5 on her side

still, that's only $11 total for shipping vice the $30 they originally quoted me with a 2 week delivery time. I'm looking at about 1 week even with 2 different addresses in the mix

Yesterday I tried my sisters 2010 Taurus key (same as pictured, with the built in buttons, etc) and it was too fat to fit into the ignition. Not the key part, the fob part. The opening wasn't wide enough to allow it to seat all the way down.

I can't speak on the programming part because I didn't try it, but I suspect it wouldn't work.
