351w Headers

Anyone know where to buy headers that will fit a 76 F250 with a 351w??

Yeah, a custom exhaust fabrication shop!

Seriously, 351Ws were never offered in Dents. The closest you'll get is a 302 for 2WD F100/150s and modify it to make up for the taller deck height and corresponding increase in width. Your cobbled F250 will likely introduce new problems... Ya didn't state 2wd or 4wd so add another point or two to the difficulty factor.

Good luck to ya.

4wd. I'm aware of the engines that came in these trucks. I have a bunch of SBF stuff laying around, so it would be cheaper than starting over with a 3.85 series engine. The FE is not an option for me. The boat anchor 390 will be getting removed

Okay then. Grab some SBF long tubes headers, break out a grinder with a cutoff wheel, and start cutting and tacking. You can probably get away with getting shorty headers but definitely no long tubes that are bolt-on.

Personally, I think you're overlooking the potential of a 390FE. Visit Survival Motorsports and be inspired.

I'd have to agree on this one. Windsor engines from pre 74 can be made to be drag racing engines with 2000 hp... I HIGHLY doubt that an FE can pull that kind of power.

The windsor was one of the greatest small block engines that was ever built by ford (year dependent).

I'm sure we could beat this into the ground, but there is no sense in doing that.

Like HIO said, grab yourself some longtubes and go to work. If you do end up fabbing up ANY sort of headers, please let me know. I've got myself an early 70's mustang windsor in my truck and she's been looking for some headers for a while.... just my fab skills aren't up to par at the moment.

Make a build thread for your headers if you're doing any work, I'll be with ya the whole way! I also know of a few others that would be VERY interested in this.

Supposedly Summit brand headers for a 302 will fit without any modifications or interference. Sorry, can't help with an exact part number.

Respectfully withdrew this comment. Thanks for the input from the FTE'ers below.

Maybe he was saying he heard the 302 fit and worked on the 351w without mods or interference???? That is the way I read it

That's what I was thinking as well. I'd love to hear that there are a set of headers for my windsor that don't require modding...

It'd be nice to get some longtubes under my hood.. but I guess I'll keep dreaming...

I have yet to try my factory mustang shorties on my79 2wd. The 302 long tubes were nowhere close to going on the passenger side. Some have suggested that the block huggers will work, but I have yet to see anyone with them.
