Anyone have a belt diagram for a '79 460? I don't have any pictures of mine, and I kinda forgot.

Alternator, power steering, A.I.R pump, and aftermarket a/c

I wish I could help, but I'm looking for the same. I have an 88 F250 with a 79 460 that I'm rebuilding, and my V-belt for my alternator won't fit on the pulleys correctly. I need a diagram to see what I'm doing wrong.

 

I believe the smog pump is the first belt to go on the crank pulley(I dont have one) followed by alternator, power steering then AC.
The alternator only goes around the crank pulley and the power steering and AC wrap around both the crank pulley and the water pump/fan pulley.





In my pics I don't have the stock power steering pump or bracket but it is the same belt routing. My power steering pump is a saginaw with bracket from a non AC 76 460 van that I modified to work with 76 truck 460 brackets and pulleys. All the stock belts sizes worked fine.
