Does this look like a valve cover leak ?

Any help with this leak would be appreciated.

I've checked around the pcv elbow but I don't think it's that.

I've ruled out the ICP. It's clean and dry.

This whole area was clean when I reinstalled the FICM after ICP replacement in Feb 2011. Now it's covered in oil & there's enough of a leak to create a slow drip off the last bolt on the exhaust manifold.
Thanks!

Are you saying you haven't opened the hood to check anything out since the FICM replacement in feb? If that's the case I would say you need to clean that up real good, and keep checking it to find the leak. You will have a hard time figuring that out untill you get it clean to see. From the looks of it I would say it's leaking pretty good. You might be able to see the leak just by cleaning it off really good and running it at idle while you look.

I didn't notice it at all.

The hose from the air filter to the turbo, the FICM, and the degas bottle hide this area. Plus since my surgery in March I haven't opened the hood much at all.

Actually the only way I noticed it is because that drip lands on the front driveshaft (4x4) and it is wet with oil. I was taking the dog out one night and the flashlight lit up the shiny driveshaft.

But I will go out now and try to clean it as best I can and monitor it. Sometimes the simple suggestions go right over my head

That's where I would start. Clean it off real good, and keep an eye on it. I would think either ccv system or valve cover.

Removed air filter and hose, brushed area with purple simple green and hosed with warm water. It's as clean as I can get it with my reach but I guess I won't know how it's doing until I can run it when it comes back with new tranny.

New ccv elbow and o-ring were put in new with ICP. I thought it clipped nicely but you never know. The intake up to the turbo was pretty clean internally.

I can't stay out from under my hood - lol!!

I don't think any of my friends will stop and ask me if I need help ever again! After multiple times of them stopping when I had the hood up and me saying "No problems, just looking things over". I sure hope I don't need their help someday ...............

Keep us informed!

No big deal at all. Actually made me smile and think of the old man there.
I can hear him saying ... "You mean to tell me ...."

I heard that a lot

I cleaned the area while I had the FICM off so this is new accumulation, plus it is actively currently leaking.
I'll try monitoring it now that I've cleaned it again and pay better attention. It really does not appear to be the ccv elbow, but who knows. It's kinda hard to really see anything in there.
To really get it back to clean I'll have to remove the FICM. So I guess that's next.

I had a leak on that side that Ford said was, something like the "glow plug harness". Does that sound right? It's been a while.

It could be the glow plug harness but it would leak below the valve cover not on top.
