First the truck is a 2006 f250 5.4 L V8 truck was built 9/2005 Is there some place on the motor that will give the production date of the engine. It has the stuck injector problem that the 05's had but Ford won't warranty it because it is an 06. I think it is a left over 05 production engine with the problem injectors if I can prove that we might have to have a bit more discussion (lawyers at 50 paces).

 

There is usually a sticker on one of the valve covers that will have the build date on it. Most are within 7 days of the truck build.
