56 Out of the Barn
An acquaintance, Dave, asked me to share this with you all.
I hope I don't stir up things.
No harm intended.

It's very fair price considering the body is straight. Thats about as good of condition you can find an original truck in. I've seen complete trucks that were pulled out of a field after 30 yrs (rusted, dented, think rough farm use) go for $5000-6000. Requiring thousands in body work, not to mention interior.

Friends,
I cannot confirm nor deny as to how much it sold for or to whom...
But based on rumors - shame on me for spreading them further - it is being stated by someone who allegedly was there at the time of the sale, who told someone which in turn told someone else who then told me ... that it sold for almost $5K. I should have made an offer myself... but I'm already knee deep in my project.
mOROTBREATH,
I posted those images on my album page titled Soda Blast & Etching. For some reason when I tried - then - to upload them to this thread I experienced technical difficulties... At any rate, here is one image.
What do you think?
Oh wait folks, hold on to your freakin’ panties – if you are wearing any...
This weekend while driving around in search for a rear bumper for my '56 F100 guess what I came across. Ready...
A '56 Big Window basking in the hot sun (looks like for at least 10 to 15 years) It's all there, however, it is nowhere in the condition the previous GGY truck showed. I spoke with the nephew of the owner and after a brief story about how it was meant to be worked on et cetera... he mentioned that his uncle may be interested in selling it. Period! I have no further info on this '56 Big Window other than it has the freakin bumper I need.
No. I won't purchase it to pick it apart then sell it and whatever. This should go to the new owner just as it is - if it ever gets sold. If there is a chance that I would be given permission to take a few photos to show on here I will do so gladly, but keep in mind I'm not much into going on to peoples properties without permission - I think you'd understand why... I did have permission Saturday when I saw it, just didn't have my freakin camera with me then...
