HI Blue

I just have to ask.
What is the large black metal box that is on the inside of the chassis rail in the last picture? Is it a long distance fuel tank?

Thanks

Thanks Blue

Does it go up over the drive shaft, or only on the right hand side of it.
Any chance you know the width of the tank?

Thanks

Epic trip, 4000 kms Plus, or double that if you had to go over to get it
Did it tow all right

Cheers,
Patchy

Just from WA. It was tough on the old girl, had 4-5 ton on board. Blown cooling hose, fuel return line leak, three blowouts(because of the weight I think) and fried the old c6 5 km from the destination. It was acting up for the last 2000km to be fair on it.

Epic trip.

Looks like a fair bit of weight on the rear axle, definitely want to make sure you had your tyre pressures up!

Yes, the trailer was a bit nose heavy. Ran 50psi in all the tyres,

Been a while since I've been on here ("faecesbook" seems to have killed forums) Fitted a turbo style muffler to my ex ambo a while back along with the "safe tow" tune. Now sounds like a V8 Scania down the highway

Once away from the real big hills, we cruised fairly well.
Since then a new exhaust, put power to the second ciggy lighter which powered up the OBII port allowing the MAX micro tuner to power up, hence dialed in "safe tow tune" & new tyres (proper size) have made a difference!
