Just as the title says, it's the S5-47 model. The last and strongest HD 5 speed ford used with a 470lb/ft input torque rating. The bell-housing will match up to the I6 300, 302, 351 etc....

I bought it as a newly rebuilt unit from smartpartsauto.com well over a year ago. Put it in the truck and filled her with Mercon, but never ran the engine. So it's still a newly rebuilt ZF 5 speed.

Anybody need a strong tranny for a built up 300/302/351? Or maybe just like better gear ratios

I am on the CA/OR line, so your move to OR is a help. Also, I note a different "tag number" on the Smartparts auto site, but my 99 5.4 does call for the s55-47. Do you know any incompatibilities? Lastly, is this a 4x4 or two wheel drive transmission? Jim

 

Shooting me your email is fine via PM........It's 4x4, but I highly doubt it'll match up to a modular. I missed that fact the first read.
