Question Torqshift Filter Question , Looks like Toilet Paper

I just went to replace my in-line trans filter as usual and well I went with Ford Motorcraft and well i got home and opened the box and its a filter that looks like a roll of toilet paper. My old filter was a pleated filter that looked like a mini fuel filter or oil filter. I did a search on the web and like RockAuto.com offers both filters for my 04 6L. So I am confused which one is better whats the benifits of this paper looking on. I put it in tonight and it went in just fine but un sure of it. Looks like it would fall apart with the trans fluid going through it. Anyone got any ideas?

You want the toilet paper.

When you buy the external tranny filter, (the toilet roll):

-Sold as a Ford component (FT-145 - $19.99) you do not get a new o-ring with it.
-Sold as NTZ component (NTZ09-C09B - $12.99) you will get a new o-ring.

The roll of toilet paper filter will catch very fine particles that the other may let pass through. TP>pleated.

Stay with the NTZ/Motorcraft. You have a very good tranny and also very expensive.
