2wd to 4wd

Does anybody know if the frame for a 1993 F-250 2wd are the same as the 4wd, and is it possible to convert to 4wd without breaking the bank. Thanks

It wouldn't be a bolt up operation as the F250 4x4's had leaf springs up front, but you could convert an F150 4x4 front-end (coil sprung) to F250 by changing the spindles and hubs. They are both Dana 44s.

Actually IIRC the holes are the for everything except the mounting holes for the TTB pivot brackets. And I believe the frame holes are there for the trans/t-case C/M.

just buy a donor 4x parts truck, or just buy a "new to you" 4x truck.
