drive shaft trouble

ok I have a 1974 f100 4x4 and the center collar bearing is out on the rear drive shaft but every where I look it seams that they list the drive shafts with collar bearing as 2x2 should I change it to a diffrent drive line or just look for the same one? the total distance fron t case to rear axels is 75 1/2 " could I get one single axel or would that couse the off roading to be harder?

The later 70s 4x4s are a single drive shaft to the rear. You could convert it I suppose. Check your local junk yard and make sure the yokes match up with what you have.
