Yesterday was quite the event for me as well. Just picked up a 74 F100 with some minor rust problems for $500. Gotta go clean it out and take pictures this morning and I'll be showing it off.
Got what appears to be a strong 390 under the hood that runs good for its age, just a little smokey from sitting awhile. Anyhow enough spiel, pics later!

I just heard the garbage truck run, so I should be able to go and empty the bed and toolbox out now. Gotta check the weather and make sure it isn't already too hot or it might have to wait until this evening.
I tell you this much, driving that truck without the power steering is a pain in the ... shoulders. Not only is the belt broken, the PO installed what looks to be a Grant racing wheel that is much much smaller than the factory one which made it much harder to steer.
I will say this much, there are some "improvements" done to the cab that I need to be removing, but I figure it can wait until I've got it checked over and mechanically sound.

The collection is going to be shrinking shortly, I've still gotta break in the new 300 in my 83. Then I'm either giving the body to my dad or selling it off for scrap metal. It needs floors, cab corners, firewall repair, wiring, and other rust issues fixed on the cab.
If I could get someone to give me $3500 for it (new reman engine clifford 4bbl manifold, 600cfm holley, EFI exhaust 140 amp 3g alt, newer AOD) I'd just sell it outright. I know folks are gonna take one look at the body and just try to give me some lowball number and I can't do that.
The bronco I'm giving to my dad as he wants to fix it up and use it around his 5 acres our shop is on so that one is coming out of the siggie as well. The F250 in my sig is DOA right now because someone filled the crankcase with "something" and now it has a really bad rod knock.
But ya I'd love to add a 56 F100 to that list one day, another one of my favorites besides the dentsides.

Ya know, the PO really could have taken care of the mechanical stuff before trying to dress the truck up. I'm getting rid of the visor and the roof spoiler, so it'll look a little better.
Once pay day rolls around I'm going to start on rust repairs, once I've got the last little bit of mechanical work done. Focusing on the turn signals and brake lights.
