Its my birthday today & our A/c unit went out over the weekend. For being run since 1977, Im not complaining a whole lot. Plus this insanely hot *** weather didnt help it.
This is a public notice, there is a shop in/around Ozark that does a **** poor job of mounting split rims. At first I thought they were just not seated all the way but after taking them to Jim here in Scranton, I found out they had bent 2 rings & then tried to mount them. Jim threw a fit over it just on how dangerous it was to try & air them up.
Ya those split ring rims are a pain but if that is all ya got the ya got to run them. My 72 DRW F350 is supposed to have them on it. A previous owner put newer one piece rims on it but didn't get the lug centric rims like it needed. It vibrates real bad as you go down the road because the rims aren't centered up like they need to be. I got four of the original split ring rims off a parts truck to put on it and that helped some. I'd really like to find some one piece rims for it but they are harder to find then hens teeth. I have a set of 16.5 rims for an F250 if you are interested.

I hate to ask this here, but, does anyone have a couple of 5 lug chevy truck wheels that they would part with on the cheap? I need a couple for a trailer.
I should be ashamed for not catching this yesterday...

Happy belated birthday man. I hate to hear your a/c is acting up...but I know exactly how you feel. The one on the trailer is acting like the thermo protect sensor is fried (works intermittently) and the one at the house can't seem to keep up. Even though the 1300 sq/ft house as a 5-ton (twice the size needed, or so I've been told)...it isn't keeping up like it used to in years past. Maybe it's just that hot.

It has been raining off & on most of the night...and there's light rain coming down as I "hunt & peck" this out. Good sleeping weather since I have to work all night again tonight...3rd in a row. Anyone talked to Jeff lately? I know he was talking about going on another trip (tear drop I think)...but haven't heard much from him in 2-3 weeks.
