My towing business is going broke....
I have had my towing business for the past 10 years, and made a good living towing the Ford diesels out to the dealer. It's a 150 mile one way trip. We hauled 2 or 3 out a week, especially in the winter. My personal 2005 6.0 got towed out about 8 times in 5 years.
I have NOT towed out one 6.7 yet. My 2011 has 25,000 kms on it and (except for the CEL) has been great.
Oh well, at least I still got the GMs and Dodges to tow.

Fixdent is the least of my concerns. He has proven to be a pretty solid member on this board. Besides, look up a map of Northwest Ontario. There can't be 100 trucks within 100 miles of him anyway!
A Chevy dealer buying and selling 36 Ford trucks over the course of several weeks is what I would be suspicious of.

In my area, there a few "car groups" owned by the same people and share the same name -- all selling different new vehicles under the same name. Perhaps that is what he is talking about.

The dealerships are full of trucks, and a few cars.
You have to go to the city to get a car.
Anyways.......I said this all in "fun". I own 5 ford vehicles. Two of which are tow trucks.
I have a 2011 F250, and couldn't be happier with it. (except for the rough ride, possibly).
My original message was not to bash Chevys or Dodges.....just making "fun", and meaning nothing is going wrong with the 6.7's
As for the Chevy dealership selling Ford Trucks....I'd have to see that one.

Out of now 91 6.7 trucks we have only 5 have been towed back in not bad at all!! Compared that to the 6.0's and the 6.4's (may as well put spare radiator in place of spare tire on 6.4 trucks) but hey only time will tell! By december we should have at least 7 trucks that will be over the 100k mark the rest will hit that next year. If they last 150k with minimal issues then great!! There is little things that do fail but that is not fair to group those with the 6.7!
Issues so far
#3456 F-550 45,XXX Engine vibration at 2200 rpm's = Bad turbo was replaced and issue solved!
#3489 F-250 23,XXX Transmission failure = Complete reman assembly installed (always shifted hard) no other issues.
#4019 F-450 56,XXX Rear main seal leaking badly = Seal was damaged during install no crank issues found. Replaced and no leaks since.
#4070 F-550 13,XXX Hard start when warm/low idle condition = Forgot about this truck it just sits in line with about 40+ trucks (Most are 6.4 SD's or 650 trucks with the 6.7 Cummins) waiting to go to the Ford Fleet center to be fixed. (Ford won't give us warranty credit on the issue if we repair it, so they can)
#3481 F-250 48,XXX Rear axle twisted the pinion off at the yoke- Rebuilt axle and no other issues.

As I tow for the Ford dealer here in Gulfport I can back up Fixdents' observation.
I'm sitting here trying to remember towing any of the 6.7L and only one comes to mind.
It sticks in my memory because of the driver more than anything.
Shortly after the owner of the company I work for bought his '11 F-250 he called me to come get him.
He was 100 miles away and was having trouble with the truck.
It would not run correctly and he had me tow it to the dealer for examination.
The problem turned out be driver error.
It seems that he had topped off the tank with Gasoline.
After about 50 miles he was concerned with the change in the performance that he pulled off the interstate and called me.
Now the fact that he had added Gas to the truck went unnoticed until it was at the dealer the next day.
Drained and flushed the truck has ran well since.
Towing companies that depend on break down towing for dealers are going to find that there will be a continuing reduction in business as car companies improve the engineering of vehicles.

Actually it was a blending of gas and diesel.
He had topped off, at the beginning of his trip home, not wanting to have to stop later. LoL
So it was not ever straight gas.
I have the hardest time trying to convince him to keep it more than a a quarter full.
I explain how keeping the pump submerged lengthens its' life.
But still his truck is always in the 40 more miles range.
